Artists Are Addressing the Tide of Gentrification in LA’s Little Tokyo

Having worked for the past year as Artist Residency Advisor for the Little Tokyo Service Center, designing and helping manage the pilot year of a new artist residency program, I was thrilled to see a wonderful piece in Hyperallergic by writer Abe Ahn. Abe goes into depth about the ongoing threat of displacement faced by the citizens of Little Tokyo, and how the Service Center through a grant from Art Place America is using artists to work on these issues in forthright and dynamic ways.
